Schultz to serve as liaison between national and state association
November 3, 2010, Overland Park, Kan. – John Schultz of Albany, Minnesota was recently appointed to serve as an NAA Ambassador for the National Auctioneers Association. As an NAA Ambassador, Schultz will serve as a liaison between the NAA and the Minnesota State Auctioneers Association.
The NAA Ambassador program was established after the 2009 State Leadership Conference where national and state association leaders stressed the need for better communication between both organizations. NAA Ambassadors were appointed in nearly every state in the nation and candidates were selected based on their involvement in both their state association and the NAA. NAA Ambassadors will update the NAA on events taking place in their state. The NAA is focused on helping promote state associations nationally. As an ambassador, Schultz will also serve as an advisor to the NAA membership committee. Their input and guidance along with their fellow ambassadors will be used to review current and proposed member services and benefits with the ultimate goal of enhancing and improving the NAA member experience. Ambassadors will also assist in reaching out to past members and non-NAA Auctioneers to educate and inform them about the national association.
“The NAA Ambassador program was established to open the line of communication between the national and state association and strengthen our relationships,” said NAA Membership Committee Chairman Dennis Jackson, CAI, AARE, CES. “Our goal is to stay better connected with state associations and promote them, as well as connect better with auctioneers at the local level.”
Schultz is Vice President, Operations for Schultz Auctioneers Landmark Realty. He works closely with Proxibid and advises numerous auction firms on all aspects of sale day technology. John recently served as President of the Minnesota State Auctioneers Association which awarded him their coveted Golden Gavel Award for outstanding service to the auction industry.
